Czech artist Alice Máselníková presents her second solo exhibition at Berg Gallery in Stockholm, titled And the Wild Birds Will Carry Us. The exhibition features a selection of paintings and drawings created over the past two years, bringing together nature, poetry, myths and fantastical creatures.
In her work, Máselníková draws inspiration from nature and combines romantic beauty with bizarre and mysterious elements. She is also inspired by mythology and storytelling, where real and fantastical motifs naturally coexist. Her paintings feature unusual creatures, plants and fruits, gradually blurring the boundaries between humans, animals and nature, as well as between reality and imagination.
The title of the exhibition, And the Wild Birds Will Carry Us, comes from one of the artist’s own poems. Poetry is an important part of her artistic practice and complements the visual world of her paintings.
